The Port Bouvard Surf Life Saving Club commenced patrol operations at Pyramids Beach in Dawesville on 18th December 2003. Full affiliation was achieved on the 26th May 2007. Since then the Club has gone from strength to strength in all areas.
The Club has increased Beach Patrol Hours consistently each year. Education supports Lifesaving by training Surf Rescue, Bronze and now IRB and Advanced Spinal and Resuscitation Courses. Community Courses to be offered in Dawesville are in the pipeline.
Youth 13 to 19yrs is strong and active in our Club. Junior Beach Activities run Sunday mornings. Surf Sports trains at Junior and Senior level for local and State Competitions. The Club won AUSSIES Medals in both the Senior and Masters Competitions in 2014.
Second Storey Build
Port Bouvard SLSC has embarked upon a significant Capital expansion with the addition of a second storey to the clubrooms, adding a large function area with unparalleled views in the Mandurah area, additional training areas for club activities, and amenities.
With funding grants from:
State Government (Peel Development Commision)
City of Mandurah
and fundraising by the Club, the works were completed in July 2019, allowing the club to work for financial security moving forward.
Thankyou to those involved and your patience with the disruptions to beach access over the past season. Come see the new addition on the 2019 Season Open Day, September 14 with the Offical opening occuring at 2pm.
